A clinically competent Registered Nurse who delivers care to the patient undergoing surgical/procedural intervention, through the proc! ess of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. These patients cover the life span of: newborn - 0-28 days, pediatric - 29 days - 10 years, adolescent - 11 years - 18 years, adult - 19 years - 55 years, and geriatrics 56 years. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Communicates elements of nursing process to promote collaboration within the health team.
Current RN licensure in State of Wyoming
3-5 years of perioperative nursing experience preferred
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification or will acquire within 90 days.
Current PALS certification or will acquire within 90 days
Current NRP certification or will acquire within 6 months
Understands and applies principles of asepsis.
Able to take call as needed or assigned.
Able to function as "first" scrub for basic general and orthopedic cases, i.e! ., carpal tunnel, C-section, hernias, etc.
