Distribution Lead
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs various duties related to shipping including but not limited to:
Oversee and directs receipt and placement of finished goods into the FG warehouse. Lead will accomplish this by reviewing production schedule and pre-planning with the Supervisor as to placement in the warehouse.- Ensures all Customer orders are pulled and shipped correctly in a timely manner.
- Must be willing to train on computer system (Oracle), hand scanner, and be capable of completing various shipping forms for carriers.
- Process orders for FED Ex, UPS, Info Ship, and other shipping software.
- Supervise up to 12-20 associates in all sections of the FG and Component warehouse (Put away, Loading, Order Pulling, and Inventory).
- Supervises and Assists in putting product in warehouse, pulling orders, or loading directly onto truck.
- Perform all shipping tasks required to create satisfied customers, internal and external.
- Notify supervisor immediately of any possible problems such as cartons not scanning, missing cartons, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area. Ensure all safety and housekeeping practices are followed.
- Keeps an open communication with all Associates and Supervisor of department.
- Warehouse leads organize and maintain inventory and stock control. Ensures that the storage areas and warehouse are kept clean and tidy, which includes identifying areas where processes could be improved and work practices amended.
- Performs duties of general help as required
- Will be required at times, with proper notice, to work mandatory overtime.
- Will be required at times to assist in the Retail Ready and Receiving Departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to operate a sit-down forklift and reach truck.
- Experience in leading and coaching small teams.
- Must be able to communicate and read English.
- Previous Shipping/Receiving experience a plus.
- Must be able to perform basic math functions.
- Ability to work within a deadline under pressure and handle interruptions.
- Above average organizational skills and be detailed oriented with a quality mindset.
- Must understand all safety aspects of forklift driving
