Provide professional nursing services to patients, clients and staff, including inpatient, residential programs and clinic settings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides professional nursing services to patients, clients and staff in chronic as well as acute care settings.
Performs nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.
Provides continuous care of patients through assessing, evaluating and implementing processes to assure appropriate patient care and outcomes.
Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as orde! red by the physician.
Provides meals via G-tubes, or assis! ts with meals.
Gives injections, PPD's, IV's, cares for and changes gastrostomy and tracheostomy tubes.
Provides pre and post-operative care.
Triages calls from staff and handles concerns and emergencies.
Communicates with Physician and follows through on orders as appropriate.
Reviews lab values and consult reports. Monitors seizures and weights.
Provides formal assessments, documentation and progress notes.
Completes or assists with patient ADL’s (activities of daily living).
Coordinates and schedules appointments, consultations, surgeries and procedures.
Participates in team meetings, IPP's and IHP's.
Arranges for and conducts nursing clinics and classes; teaches individuals and groups in health promotion and disease prevention.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
PREFERENCES:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
KNOWLE! DGE:
Knowledge of laws, principles, practices and techniques of professional nursing.
Knowledge of ICF/ID, Nurses Practice Act, state policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
Knowledge of principles of nursing process and scientific process.
Knowledge of applying medical diagnosis and treatment to patient care.
Ability to develop nursing diagnosis, plans of care and assume responsibility for own actions.
Positive, accurate and effective communication with clients, staff, families, guardians and the public.
Skills in good customer service practice.
Skills in time management and computer usage. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree (typically in Nursing) PLUS Experience: 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN OR Education & Experience Substitution: 3-5 years of progressive work expe! rience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a! n LPN Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: OR Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, for every successful applicant. Must be able to:
Safely move (twisting, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling), position and lift people with multiple and severe disabilities.
See and hear sufficiently to monitor client safety. NOTES:
