Job Summary
As a Dentist with Southwest Nebraska Dental Center you will provide our patients and their families with gentle and comprehensive dental care in McCook, Nebraska. We offer a wide range of dental services â€" from emergency treatments and cosmetic improvements to preventative dentistry, all designated to deliver exceptional patient care in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
Position Summary:
The Associate Dentist will diagnose and treat problems with patient teeth and tissues of the mouth along with providing patient guidance to prevent future oral problems. The Associate Dentist designs treatment options for patients with support staff and serves as an expert in preparing dental plans. As a Southwest Nebraska Dental Center Dentist, you can expect to see a steady flow of new and existing patients every day.
Job Duties:
- Examine patient’s mouth for diagnosis of oral health, training and treatment needs.
- Provide treatment in accordance with standards of care for all Dentistry provided.
- Daily procedures include: visual exams, x-ray reviews, removing tooth decay, filling cavities, applying sealants, administering anesthetics, repair of fractured teeth, tooth extractions, corrective surgery on gums and bones, prepare and measure to create models to fit composite restorations, replace teeth, write prescriptions and general oral care.
- Must represent self and practice in a professional, pleasant and cooperative manner.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Manage asepsis, infection, using and maintaining hazard control protocols as established by OSHA and office standards.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Highly motivated.
- Refer to specialists as needed.
- Must demonstrate positive and effective communication skills with patients and co-workers.
- Perform routine maintenance on dental equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary of $149,000
- The incentive plan is based upon collections
- 30% Incentive Pay on $150,000-$250,000
- 35% Incentive Pay on $250,000 - $350,000
- 40% Incentive Pay on $350,000 +
- Lab bills will be paid for by Southwest Nebraska Dental Center
- $5,000 Continuing education allowance
- Eligible for the 401K plan after 1 year of service
- Voluntary Aflac Insurance available
